The A.Lange&Sohne 1815 Chronograph watch is the only one model on our list created in Germany. Its plates made from German untreated nickel differ from the typical Swiss movements. This chronograph features a 39.5mm case, the thickness of which is 10.8mm. It is smaller and much more comfortable in comparison with the other brand's model - Datograph, which is equipped with a variation of the chronograph movement. It is impossible to find any fault in the L951.5 caliber composed of 306 parts and 4 threaded gold chatons. In spite of the fact that this chronograph doesn't have the brand's patented date function (although none of the submitted models is equipped with such an indicator), it is the only one designer watch that has a flyback function. Thanks to such characteristics, A.Lange&Sohne is one of the most prestigious German brands, and it is quite capable of competing directly with the best Swiss manufacturers. The price of this model is $51,500.
The design of the FP Journe Centigraphe Souverain high-end watch can be contrasted with the rest of the timepieces on our list. It boasts the sporty and stylish look that corresponds to the modernist philosophy of the brand that is still controlled by François-Paul Journe , its founder. It has nothing in common with the previous models. The brand has combined modern lines with traditional watchmaking approach. The Centigraphe Souverain is powered by an in-house 1506 caliber designed by Mr. Journe and made of 18k gold. It has impressive 80-hour power reserve. Although this design is probably the most exuding on our list, the fact that the watch has been created by one of the greatest living craftsmen and is equipped with an in-house gold movement, should be a sufficient reason for the great interest in this model. The price for the FP Journe Centigraphe Souverain chronograph watch is $57,870.
